Future Readings...

We still have one more week in Fablehaven after this week, but I would like us to choose a new novel so that we will all have time to locate the book. Like last time, we will do this as a "first come first serve" process. If you have an idea of a book for us to read together, please post it under this comment. For now, please just list one book so that everyone will have an opportunity to list a book that they are interested in. We will go down the list and read the books together. Again, if there is a book that you are not interested in, you can wait until the next novel, but I encourage you to try all of the readings. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Happy reading!

  1. I was thinking about Percy Jackson & the Olympians The Lightning Thief. It looks fun and it's coming out in the movies.

  5. I like the idea of keeping with Fablehaven. The 2nd book is called "Fablehaven Rise of the Evening Star", but I am game for what ever you choosen.

  6. I am going to read the rest of the series. Brnadon Mull hooked me even though I am over 15. I just got to find out what happens with Kendra. However, for our book club I am game for Janae's book and have already asked the library to bring it in.

  7. Just look at Valnet and all copies are out, in transit or overdue. I am hoping one of the in transit is my request from yesterday. It may take a while for Lana, Mary and I all to get the book unless we buy it.

  8. I want to see that movie, I think that'd be a great book to read! I'll have to go and see if I can get it, if Rosena couldn't find it I could be in trouble!

  9. Seeing that there has been some difficulty in getting The Lightning Theif, please let me know under this comment whether you are able to get the book. I do not want to start untill everyone, who wants to read it, has the book. If there is too long of a waiting list, please let me know. We may have to go to the next novel that has been recommended, the second Fablehaven, and then return to The Lightning Theif. Hopefully you will not have too much difficulty. :)

  11. I have "The lightening Thief" on request/hold through valnet. Whos knows when one will become available. Its very popular and a hard book to get at the library. I may have to buy it somewhere but only on paid day which is after the 15th.

  12. I also have put a reguest on "The lightening Thief." It isn't due back until the 9th, and then it has to be sent to the Library I go to for me to pick up. I may not get it until AFTER next week. It must be a good book.

  13. Since three of us and probably also Andrea have it on order I would like to go forward with this one. I would hate to let it go when it comes and have to try and get it again. Hopefully an extra week will get copies for all of us. My Library does not have the next Fairyhaven book either and I wwill have to order it in.

  15. Andrea, I heard that that the library that I requested the book from is your Library. I found a book that is not checked out so I requested it. When it comes to my library I will cancel the request I made for the one at the Clearwater Memorial Library. So if you are still looking for a book I would request that one so that when I cancel my request you will be the next one in line. It is due back the 9th. If you already have one coming, then maybe Mary can request it.
